In the 5th round of the Division I Volup faced Bromek. Our opponent after victory in the opening match lost three matches in a row and was trying to pull up from the lowest parts of the table. Volup was staying solid as a rock just behind the leader. So choosing the favourite of this match was just unquestionable.

First set was a reflection of the differences between the teams positions in the table. We started the match perfectly by making  no mistakes and trying to stay focused. We were dominating from the beginning as we lost the first point at 8-0. Till the end of the set we were keeping the safe distance playing very good in the defence and attack. 25-14 (!) for Volup in the opening set.

In the second set we were still controlling the game. When we served well and had a good reception, we were gaining the advantage, but as we were loosing our concentration and timing, the opponent was getting closer right away. But through out the set we could always depend on our solid block and serve. We managed to win the second set quite easily  25-22.

After 2 poor sets Bromek had nothing to loose... and from that moment the real battle was about to begin! Neither Volup nor Bromek could gain more then one point advantage in the whole set. We served well, but  in the same time Bromek performed amazing reception and powerful attack. On the other hand we showed some superb skills in the defence. That great fight brought both teams to the score 23-23! Being just two points from the 3-0 victory, we were blocked twice and lost the set 24-26...

Bromek was playing even better as the battle continued... We couldn?t get our rhythm back ? bad reception had a massive influence on our setter and attack. Good serve and solid block was just not enough. Bromek deserved to win this set 25-20 without a doubt.

In the final encounter we tried to forget about previous sets and played our best. In the beginning we gained two points advantage, which we tried to keep till the end. Final points of the set and match were very dramatic as Bromek managed to level the score at 13-13! But we saved the best for last ? we worked out the match point after amazing serve and just seconds after we won the last point after powerful attack made after opponent?s bad reception !

Instead of easy 3-0 win we took part in five sets horror show... luckily with happy end!  
After this match Volup  stayes at no 2 in the pool, but chances to overcome the current leader have decreased.
